Post Game: USA 3- Australia 1

Two goals by Edson Buddle, a goal by substitute Herculez Gomez and a goal by Tim Cahill on the other side sum up the scoring for today's game.

This is a confidence boosting game for the Red, White and Blue, certainly, heading into the final week of preparation and next week's match against England.

Game ball has to go to Edson Buddle for netting two goals and creating a few other scoring opportunities

The disappointment in this game has to be Robbie Findley. He wasted away a couple of clear cut scoring opportunities. On chances he created himself and on breakaways he either missed on goal with a man open, or made a poor pass to an open man.

Substitute keeper Marcus Hahnemann made a couple of nice saves, possibly solidifying his place as the number two behind Tim Howard.

The performance by Buddle along with Gomez's brief substitute appearance has to be encouraging for the US following Jozy Altidore's injury scare. Should Altidore be fit for next Saturday, I believe Bob Bradley will pair him up with Buddle, with Gomez coming off the bench. Findley has probably played himself down the pecking order.

One week from today we will be watching the US take its former colonizers, should be exciting and we'll see how the US stacks up. Taking at least a point from England should put the US in good position to advance should they do what is expected of them against Algeria and Slovenia.
