Preview: USA v Australia

A week before their World Cup opener against England, the US faces Australia today in a friendly in Rodenpoort. Jozy Altidore will not start but it is a relief to see him jogging around, however gingerly, during pre-game warm-ups.

The US will start wil Edson Buddl and Robbie Findley up top.

The rest of the US lineup is: Dempsey, Bradley, CLark, Donovan (all MF), Bocanegra (LB), Demerit, Goodson (CB), CHerundolo (RB), Howard (G)

Australia's lineup: Schawarzer (G), Chipperfield (LB), Moore, Neill (CB), Wilkshire (RB), Bresciano, Culina, Cahill, Grella, Garcia (MF), Kennedy (F).

The US is resting Oguchi Onyewu today, hopefully we can see him get some game action as a sub. I doubt we'll see Altidore as it is in all best interests to give that ankle as much rest as possible.

This is the US's last chance to gain some moment heading into their game against England. The Socceroos are a quality side and a possible Round of 16 opponent.
